DETROIT — Chrysler Group’s Mopar division today unveiled four custom vehicles that it will display at the Chicago Auto Show next month in honor of the parts brand’s 75th anniversary.
The four customized vehicles — a 2012 Chrysler 300, a 2013 Dodge Dart, a Fiat 500, and a Jeep Compass — all feature exclusive accessory packages that will be available to consumers later this year either direct from the factory or in pre-packaged kits.
The 300, which will be available direct from the factory this summer, will be branded a Mopar ‘12 300, though it will still carry the Chrysler winged logo. It will feature the same powertrain as the Chrysler 300 S, except for an exclusive boosted rear differential for enhanced acceleration.
The three other vehicles feature special customizations intended to highlight and intensify their individual performance and styling characteristics.
The Dart ‘GTS 210 Tribute’ features several matte-black trim pieces, a carbon-fiber hood with a large air scoop, and 18-inch, 10-spoke forged alloy titanium-colored wheels. To enhance performance, the Dart also gets advanced tuning to boost engine output to 210-horsepower and upgraded rotors and brakes to increase stopping power.
