Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched the tech-laden VFR1200F sports-tourer in India. Manufactured at Honda’s advanced Kumamoto factory in Japan, the VFR1200F will be brought into the country as a CBU.

Boasting radical styling, the large VFR1200F comes with a fuel-injected, four-stroke, liquid-cooled 1237cc V4 engine. Max power is 172bhp at 10000rpm, while max torque is 13.1kgm at 8750rpm. Honda has launched the VFR1200F in India with its revolutionary DCT or dual-clutch transmission. Other highlights include throttle-by-wire and a slipper clutch for aggressive downshifts from high speeds. In addition, the bike also features ABS that works in conjunction with Honda’s proven Combined Braking System (CBS) that balances the engagement of the front and rear brakes for safe stops.

Priced at Rs 17.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the VFR1200F will be sold through Honda’s exclusive big bike ‘Wing World’ showrooms in New Delhi and Mumbai with deliveries commencing in late August.
