Thiruvananthapuram: The development of KSRTC bus stand here at Thampanoor is turning out to be a curse for commuters.
The Rs.55.93-crore bus terminal complex of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) to come up at the central bus station in the capital is to transform the face of Thampanoor and the prevailing concept about the bus stations in the State, but its drawing a lot of flak as commuters are alleging that, passengers including old people who are coming from rural places, for various needs like medical treatments have to wait here “standing” for long hours for buses to arrive.
Even before the renovation works began the authorities took away chairs, from here, locals ask if officials can spend 35 crores for the renovation work can’t they put atleast chairs for commuters.
Moreover, there are no written boards providing information about timings of buses or refreshment rooms.
