Hrithik has backed out of the  Karan Johar’s remake of yesteryear hit ‘Agneepath’ ,as he has no dates available. Karan Johar had approached Hrithik Roshan to play the protagonist’s role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan.

Karan is planning to start the film by early next year but Hrithik won’t be available at that time of the year, as he has allotted his dates for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish.

Now Karan turned to Abhishek Bachchan, who happily accepted the role his father had played in the original movie.

The character portrayal of the ‘Agneepath’ protagonist Vijay Dinanath Chauhan won Amitabh his first National Award. The superstar was breathtaking as a fearless, seething son who wants to take revenge for his father’s death from a gangster. But doing justice to a role enacted by Big B is no cake walk for any actor.

Incidentally, ‘Agneepath’ is one of Abhishek’s favourite films of his dad. But would the son look convincing in a role immortalized by his father remains to be seen?
