Mammootty receives a cheque for Rs 1 Crore from Susheela George, the chairperson of the Sherwood International School
Mammootty is a proud father as his son`s debut film Second Show is getting rave reviews.

He has another reason to smile as the number of fans for his Facebook account has crossed over one lakh. No wonder that the mega star`s fans organised a celebration to mark what they saw as an important milestone in the life of their favourite actor.

Mammootty fans dropped in at the shooting location of his forthcoming movie Cobra at Kalamassery. Mammootty obliged and cut a cake in a simple function. And they had a guest Susheela George, the chairperson of the Abu Dhabi-based Sherwood International School, who is the actor`s friend on Facebook.

Mammootty had requested his friends on Facebook, seeking help for free heart surgeries for children. He has a charity organisation Care and Share International Foundation which aims for the same. Susheela George pledged Rs.1 crore for this noble endeavor.

So far, the Care and Share International Foundation has carried out 98 heart surgeries for children from poor families.
