Indian music maestro, A R Rahman, is creating tunes for his first commercial Hollywood flick, ‘Couples Retreat’, a romantic comedy. He has given Bollywood music a different definition.

Now, Rahman is set to rule the hearts with his melodies in the West as well. After winning two Academy Awards for Slumdog Millionaire , Rahman is entering into mainstream Hollywood with Peter Billingsley’s ‘Couples Retreat’, starring Vince Vaughn and Kristen Bell.

The movie will go on the floors soon and it has Rahman working with western musicians and composers. In fact, Rahman wants main lead Vince Vaughn to sing a romantic solo for the film. Vince, a rookie at singing, just hummed a tune that Rahman had composed, when the music director suggested he croon the song for film as well. Now, the ‘Wedding Crashers’ star is apparently going to record the song in his own voice.

But it’s not known whether he will render a stanza or the full song, as reported by an international channel. The experimental streak of Rahman is well known to all. He keeps trying new singers every time and recently got the lead pair of Mani Ratnam’s Ravana , Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan to sing a song for the film.
