Rani Mukerji has not been seen on the big screen for a quite a while now. And she is set to surprise her fans with her new look in Yash Raj Films ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’ in which the actor will play a sardar complete with a beard and a turban.
Dil Bole Hadippa is the story of a girl who has to become a man to fulfil her dreams. And the versatile Rani couldn’t wait to sink her teeth into the challenging role. She plays a girl who, though from a small village in Punjab, dreams in 70mm. The film is a love triangle between Shahid Kapoor, Rani Mukherji and Sherlyn Chopra.
Mike Stringer, the man behind the disguises in Dhoom 2, was specially flown in from London to design Rani’s look for the film. The costumes have been designed by Manish Malhotra.
Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Aditya Chopra, Dil Bole Hadippa stars Shahid Kapur, Rani Mukerji, Anupam Kher along with Rakhi Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra. It is slated to release worldwide on September 18.
