Mumbai Indians set up an IPL semi-final clash with RCB after a tense four-wicket play-off win over Kolkata Knight Riders.
Batting first, Kolkata’s top four were sent packing, each for single figures, with paceman Munaf Patel taking three wickets.
Ryan ten Doeschate hit an unbeaten 70 to lead a recovery of shorts as Kolkata made 147 for seven.
But, helped by a quickfire 51 from opener Aiden Blizzard, Mumbai edged home with four balls to spare, reaching 148 for six.
Mumbai made the most of home advantage early on as Patel dismissed dangerman Jacques Kallis for seven and Harbhajan Singh bowled Kolkata skipper Gautam Gambhir for four.
The visitors were reeling at 20 for four as Patel removed Shreevats Goswami (nought), Manoj Tiwary (four) following lbw to Dhawal Kulkarni.
Ten Doeschate helped steady the ship in a 60-run partnership with Yusuf Pathan (26), while Shakib Al Hasan smashed a quickfire 26 in a stand of 41 with the Dutchman to give Kolkata something to defend.
It looked a meagre total, though, when Blizzard and Sachin Tendulkar (36) put on 81 runs for the first wicket, but four quick wickets let Kolkata back into the match.
A slog too many saw Blizzard caught by Iqbal Abdulla off Brett Lee and Kolkata had hope when Gambhir ran out Rohit Sharma for a duck and Kallis removed Tendulkar and Ambati Rayudu (12).
James Franklin upped the run-rate, going on to make 29 not out from 25 balls, but the loss of Kieron Pollard (three) and Tirumalasetti Suman (two) set up a thrilling finish with a run-a-ball 18 needed.
But Harbhajan sparked celebrations among the the home crowd with a six in the final over as victory was secured.
