Making love is a very intimate time for everyone, but even during this openness and sharing, there are a few things you should avoid saying.
Women should avoid making comments about the surroundings. There’s a crack in your ceiling, can kill the intimate atmosphere. Men and women also should try to keep names straight. Shouting out the wrong name in bed can be a definite mood killer, no matter who says it.
Also, don’t ask about what might happen after sex; women often give in to this pitfall. Keep thoughts in the moment. Women should also keep from talking about the imminent arrival of parents, or worrying if the front door might be unlocked. These are the mood killers, but there are some major no-no’s that may be meant to be jokes, but aren’t funny.
A woman should never say, “Wake me when you are done”. Don’t bring up Viagra, either, during intercourse. The mood might be salvageable if you let some of the earlier phrases slip through, but these will end things right where they are.
Men, never ask to turn off the lights. If a little darkness is wanted, say it before things even get going. Don’t ask about breast implants, or if the woman is a virgin. Men should not ask if a woman has washed beforehand, either.
Avoid making comparisons between a sex partner’s and a mother’s underwear; in other words, don’t knock the granny panties. Make sure to ask any questions before the lovemaking starts, because asking to tie a woman up in the middle of intercourse isn’t going to win you any points.
Don’t make jokes about expired condoms, either. That’s sure to stop sex in its tracks. And men, never bring up that you have to get to work after you’re done. Show her you’re invested in the moment. Also, don’t just say “one more time” right after you’re done. It won’t kill you to wait a little while.
Any of these comments can either end love making immediately or simply make things incredibly awkward.
