Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday, February 03, 2011: Assembly Speaker K. Radhakrishnan today informed that the 17th session of the Kerala Assembly would begin from February 4th and would conclude on 24th. Speaking to the reporters here at a press meet held here today, Speaker informed that the budget session of the Assembly will begin on February 4 with address by the Governor RS Gavai.

Finance Minister Thomas Isaac will present a full budget for the economic year 2011-12 on February 10th. This would be the last budget of the current Government. Education, social welfare, infrastructure and agriculture are the sectors likely to gain prominence in the budget.
