Rameswaram, Wednesday 10 February 2010: Twenty-two children were injured, six of them seriously, when their school van collided with a State transport corporation bus here on Wednesday.

The van was carrying 42 children of the officials of ’INS Parundu’, a Goast Guard station at Mandapam in Ramanathapuram district, when the mishap occurred, police said.

The children were studying in the Kendriya Vidyalaya School at Marackaiyar Pattinam near here. The injured children have been admitted to government hospital at Ramanathapuram.
