Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday, January 20, 2011: The State Government has today decided to transfer eight District Collectors from the post. The decision was taken in the Cabinet meeting held today in Thiruvananthapuram.

Briefing the reporters after the Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan said that District Collectors from Kollam, Idukki, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam. Thrissur, Malappuram, Kannur and Kasargod have been shifted.

KN Satheesh, Ananda Singh, PM Francis, PG Thomas, Shaque Pareeth, MC Mohandas, DR Raveendran and S Lalithambika have been elected as the new District Collectors in Kasargod, Kannur, Malappuram, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Idukki, Pathanamthitta and Kollam Districts respectively.
