Thiruvananthapuram, Friday, February 10, 2012: The CPM will now have an expanded state committee with 85 members. Out of the 85, 12 are new faces. Eight members including E Balanandan’s wife Sarojini Balanandan has been avoided.

Others shunned are K K Mamookutty, V A Paulose, P R Rajan and R Unnikrishna Pillai. Koliyakkode Krishnan Nair, T V Rajesh, James Mathew, Saji Cherian, C B Chandrababu, C K Rajendran, A C Moideen, P P Vasudevan, P Nanda Kumar, K V Krishnan, P Mary and P Biju found place in the new panel.

The central leadership of the party had earlier expressed their willingness to expand the committee if requested by the state leadership.
