Kochi, Wednesday, December 03, 2008: In its counter affidavit filed before Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court today the CBI has revealed that three culprits who were arrested by CBI in connection with the murder of Sister Abhaya have confessed to the crime during interrogation.
Also, the CBI has raised suspicion on the nature death of former ASI Augustine who was found dead with his wrist slit. A note was also recovered from the body, which blamed the investigative agency CBI for his death.
Augustine, who was the ASI of the Kottayam West police station at the time of Abhaya’s death, was the first policeman to reach the spot after the nun’s body was found in the well of Pius 10th convent in Kottayam town on March 27, 1992.
It was he who conducted the inquest and prepared the FIR in the case and was involved in the initial phase of investigation before the case was handed over to the Crime Branch and later to the CBI.

Look carefully at their photo, clearly shows they are the culprits
Very very good news. I recently read an article about Catholic Sabha as they have egoism in each and every activity. This is a lesson for Catholic Priests for their vulgour deeds.
Is it really true that the 3 have confessed their crime? If so it is tragic. I really wish and pray that the real culprits be caught and punished. If , on the other hand, these three are implicated wrongly, that would be a worse crime!
It’s such a shame. If they are found guilty, and given a life sentence, they would have served their time by now, had they been honest in the first place.
They are the black sheeps of Catholic Sabha, they should be brought to justice. This is really a shame to the Catholic community.
Severe punishment should be given
We cannot believe what the CBI tells. If they were having some respect for humanity, they would not have gone public, while the investigations are still in progress. We cannot believe them. I prefer to believe the accused than the investigator, becuase their actions which we see speak volumes on their credibility.
I wonder how could they involved in spirituals activities hiding those sins? Catholic Sabha should take bold step to suspend their services on time being,,,

CBI has now been accused of obtaining this “confession” by torturing the accused, so who should you believe? The accused, who VOLUNTEERED for narcoanalysis 1 year ago and were released by CBI, or new CBI team with a whip at their backs, and no evidence? How do you suppose your picture would look if you were in their place? Where were you the night Sr Abhaya died? Ridiculous sensationalism!! The CBI has no business releasing their findings to the public unless they wish to influence the public. UNETHICAL AND UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR.

oh and by the way, hymen reconstruction is done no where in india. so sister seffi, who has not gone out of india- how did she get such a surgery done as claimed by the CBI?

Hymen implant is not done in India, CBI will tell it was done online (through E-Mail or by post). One saint is terming them culprits looking at their photo!!! Get caught for a crime u have not done & look at your photo.Media has arrested them & not CBI. Media will convict or acquit them as what happened in Aarushi case. By that time there life will be lost. Who bothers, after all they are priests/ nun without any family
Sister Seffi was sent to Germany for a bit. Just like Fr. Kottoor was sent to America.
hymenoplasty is not practised in india?? IT COSTS JUST Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000. there are many plastic surgeons who do this procedure right now in india. even in conservative pakistan it is widely in use, reports a major english daily! that leaves aside the western nations where it is hardly a 1 hour procedure in expert hands.Please dont comment on a topic that you are hardly aware of!
