Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday, July 23, 2009: Accusing the C-DIT for lacking in technical know how, CBI, the nodal agency which is investigating the Abhaya Murder case told Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court that, the CDIT did not have the backing of evidences to support its claims that the CDs containing the narco analysis test results of three accused in the sister Abhaya case were doctored.

Reiterating its claim the CBI said, the voice recordings in the CDs were not altered nor morphing was done in the CD.

Also it says, the C-DIT has no former experience in handling such a case, it does not even keep a work book.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate Eranakulam had issued an order for the verification of the genuineness of the CDs as Mr. Thomas, father of the diseased nun filed a petition for the same.

The Magistrate Court had earlier directed Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Thiruvananthapuram to examine the genuineness of the CDs. The officials of the institute then informed the court, their inability to examine the CDs as they did not have the technology for such an investigation.
