Kochi, Tuesday, November 04, 2008: After holding separate talks with new investigative officers DySP Nandakumar and Inspector AJ Darwin, Kerala High Court Judge R Pasanth said the preliminary report of Sister Abhaya’s murder should be submitted in February. The officers can take complete liberty throughout the investigative process and the Court should be promptly informed of any external factors trying to scuttle the case.
Yesterday the Kerala High Court had inquired the CBI to explain why it had entrusted the investigation in the Sister Abhaya case to a police official of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, instead of giving it to a Senior officer and asked the Investigating Officer, who had taken over the probe, to appear before the Court.
