Thiruvananthapuram, Sunday 01 March 2009: Four people killed and one seriously injured when a Maruti 800 in which they were traveling crashed with a lorry by near chavara in Kollam District on Sunday morning. The accident happened around 10-30 am.

All of them who dies hails from Thiruvananthapuram. Srinivasan (47), his wife Preetha (43), daughter Renu (11) and Srinivasan’s mother rugminiamma (67) died. The condition of Srinivasan’a daughter Reshma is said to be serious and is admitted to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.

The families were going to Harippad. The accident happened when Srinivasan’s Maruti car was trying to overtake an Innova and dashed against the lorry. Sreenivasan who was working as a accountant at Bheema jwellery Thiruvananthapuram.
