Thiruvananthapuram, Friday 24 December 2010: Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandan has called for green construction technologies to ensure to make the homes environment-friendly and cost effective.

Inaugurating a seminar on green housing technologies, organised by the Kerala State Housing Board (KSHB) as part of the M. N. Govindan Nair Birth Centenary celebrations, the Chief Minister pointed out that it was ‘MN’ who laid the foundation for the mass house construction initiative in Kerala which helped several thousands have a roof of their heads.

The present government could go in for the EMS Total Housing Project and MN One Lakh Houses Renovation Project only on account of the contributions made by Govindan Nair, he said.
