Thiruvananthapuram, Friday, August 13, 2010: Recognizing the contributions of councillors in select Corporation and Municipalities of the state, the results of the ACV News Best Councillor 2010 programme has been declared. The best councillors from 12 corporations in the State were selected on the basis of various projects undertaken in their respective wards and on the basis of public survey and opinion of an expert panel.

Representative of the Nemam ward and Health standing committee Chairman, Advocate G.R Anil Kumar was declared as the Best Councillor 2010 of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. V. Surendran Pillai, Minister for Youth Affairs and Ports and M. Vijaya Kumar, Minister for Law and Sports announced the names of the Best Councillors from 12 corporations.

The auspicious function was held at the Thiruvananthapuram Press Club at 7 pm on August 11th.
