Thiruvananthapuram, Wednesday, December 31, 2008: Senior government pleader and one of the legal advisers of Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan, Adv. Anilkumar resigned from his post here today. The resignation letter has been forwarded to Law Minister.
The CPI (M) state committee on Tuesday had decided to remove Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan’s three advisors, which included IT advisor C M Joseph Mathew, Real Admiral B R Menon (retd), who has been government advisor on inland navigation and Senior government pleader Adv. Anilkumar all of whom the party had identified as the remaining members of a “coterie” and had given legal backing to the CM during the eviction of encroachments at Munnar.
The committee also snubbed Achuthanandan’s demand for sacking his private secretary and CPI (M) leader S Rajendran.
