Adv. Anilkumar resigns  

Thiruvananthapuram, Wednesday, December 31, 2008: Senior government pleader and one of the legal advisers of , Adv. Anilkumar resigned from his post here today. The resignation letter has been forwarded to Law Minister.

The CPI (M) state committee on Tuesday had decided to remove Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan’s three advisors, which included IT advisor C M Joseph Mathew, Real Admiral B R Menon (retd), who has been government advisor on inland navigation and Senior government pleader Adv. Anilkumar all of whom the party had identified as the remaining members of a “coterie” and had given legal backing to the CM during the eviction of encroachments at Munnar.

The committee also snubbed Achuthanandan’s demand for sacking his private secretary and CPI (M) leader S Rajendran.
