Thiruvananthapuram, Tuesday 8 March 2011: Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy on Tuesday stated the UDF is not afraid of the image of Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan.
Participating in Meet the Press programme here, Chandy opined the present debate on the candidature of Achuthanandan is part of a drama.
On asked about the chances of fielding KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala the opposition leader opined majority opinion in the party favours the candidature of Chennithala. He added it is for Sonia Gandhi and Chennithala to take a final call on the matter.
Chandy reiterated he would face the Palmolien case legally and morally, if made an accused in the case. “Congress and UDF do not believe in dealing a legal case politically.
We have full faith in the judiciary and would face any such move legallyâ€. He challenged the government to make him an accused, if there is vital evidence.
