Thiruvananthapuram, Wednesday 16 September 2009: The State reported four new confirmed cases of influenza A (H1N1) on Tuesday, taking the total number to 311. Of the four new cases, two were from Ernakulam and one each from Alappuzha and Palakkad districts. On Tuesday, 5,463 persons underwent H1N1 screening in the State.

Home quarantine was advised for 28 persons, while 11 others were admitted to hospitals. One persons has been admitted to a tertiary care centre. Throat swab samples of 27 persons have been sent for testing.
