Thiruvananthapuram, Monday 15 March 2010: Defence Minister A K Antony will distribute V K Madhavankutty Puraskaram 2009, instituted by the Global Kerala initiative-Keraleeyam in memory of renowned journalist V K Madhavankutty, in Thiruvananthapuram on March 15.

Industries Minister Elamaram Kareem would deliver the V K Madhavankutty memorial lecture at the function to be held at the Thiruvananthapuram Press Club at 5 p.m.

Awards for best reporting in print media would be presented to R Samban of Deshabhimani and Cicy Jacob of Mathrubhoomi.

Biju Paravath of Asianet News secured the award for best reporting in visual media while Sibi Rajan of ACV News who received special jury mention would also be felicitated on the occasion.
