Thiruvananthapuram, Monday 15 March 2010: Defence Minister A K Antony distributed V K Madhavankutty Puraskaram 2009, instituted by the Global Kerala initiative-Keraleeyam in memory of renowned journalist V K Madhavankutty, in Thiruvananthapuram today evening.

Awards for best reporting in print media was presented to R Samban of Deshabhimani and Cicy Jacob of Mathrubhoomi.

Biju Paravath of Asianet News secured the award for best reporting in visual media while Sibi Rajan of ACV News who received special jury mention was also felicitated on this occasion.
