Kochi, Friday, 30 July 2010: Police today seized car used by accused after the pre-planned attack on T.J Joseph, Lecturer of Newman College, Thodupuzha. The police informed that the one seized was a black Lancer, used by the accused to take those injured, at the time of the attack, to the hospital.

The owner of the car has been identified Najeeb, a resident of Kaladi, near here. However, Police refused to divulge more details about the owner of the car.

Already, it had been confirmed that those accused injured was given first aid at Dr. Renif’s house, who was arrested later. The car now seized was the one used by the culprits to escape from there to a private hospital at Ernakulam.

At the same time a case on charge of treason has been taken against the District Secretary of SDPI, P.K Moidheen . The case had been registered on recovering pamphlet and CD’s promoting subversive activities from his house.
