Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday, 01 June 2010: Education Minister M A Baby today said in the Assembly that the distribution of textbooks would be completed by the end of this month. He was replying to the adjournment motion moved by P C Vishnunath of Congress.

Minister made it clear that incase of any anomalies detected in the distribution of books, it would be solved after scrutinising it. Unhappy over the Minister’s reply, Vishnunath said textbooks haven’t reached 40% of the students and schools outside the capital city. The books received in Palakkad were Kannada and the Malayalam medium got English textbooks, he added.

However, following minister’s reply, the Speaker denied permission for an adjournment motion.
