Bomb in Air cargo : Aviation ministry to probe   Bomb


Thriuvananthapuram, Sunday, March 21, 2010: Crude bombs were seized from the aircraft of Kingfisher airlines, which had arrived from Banguluru to Thiruvananthapuram airport.

The bombs were found wrapped in a Malayalam newspaper from the cargo section when the cargo was being removed, after the passengers had vacated the aircraft.

The authorities told that it was a severe security breach and confirmed that the bomb was not fatal. The bomb squad deactivated the bombs and the aircraft has been checked thoroughly.

The primary probe by the investigating authorities reveal that the bombs would have been placed inside the aircraft with the help of the cargo employees.

Central Aviation Ministry has ordered a probe in the bomb seize at Thiruvananthapuram airport. The bureau of civil aviation security would probe the issue. The Home ministry has ordered for a detailed report.

The city police commissioner M.R Ajith Kumar told that the suspicion of a security breach would be over only after proper investigation, and that probe is being done on the mater as from where the bombs were placed.
