London, Sunday 14 June 2009: Yuvraj Singh believes India can bounce back in the ICC World Twenty20.
He said, “We had one off-day but we are very positive about the game against England. We had good six overs when we bowled, and they had also good six overs when they bowled. If the top four gets runs and if we can improve upon our fielding we can do better.”
Asked about the pressure on India as the defending champion, Yuvraj said, “We know in T20, anything can happen, for example Australia went out. We understand that this is a do or die situation for us.”
On his incredible whipped six off Jerome Taylor at Lord’s on Friday, he said, “I practice that shot a lot. It is very satisfying when you pull it off in a match situation.”
The Indian vice-captain felt his side had an edge over England. India, he said, had bigger strikers of the ball. He remembered his incredible six-hitting act against Stuart Broad in the last ICC Twenty20 world championship.
