Thiruvananthapuram, Sunday, March 07, 2010: The new bus fare that was declared after the cabinet meeting would come into effect from today midnight. The government has declared a secular for this effect. The auto, taxi fares would come in to effect by 15th of this month.

The minimum fare for ordinary bus is 4 rupees, the minimum fare for fast passenger is 5 rupees, for super fast the minimum charge will become 10 rupees, for super express the fare would become 15 rupees.

The student’s bus concession fares were not hiked in the meeting, the private bus owners would go on indefinite strike from March 11 onwards for this.
