New Delhi: AB Bardhan, CPI General Secretary today opined that the declaration regarding the candidature of VS Achuthanandan should have been made earlier.

Bardhan expressed hope that the candidature of Achuthanandan would boost the prospects of LDF. He added communist leaders should function knowing the pulse and aspirations of the common man.

On asked if the chain of events surrounding the candidature of VS should have been avoided, Bardhan commented “Had there been no confusion it should have been better”.
