Kochi, Saturday, August 06, 2011: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigating the multi-crore lottery scam in the state filed FIR in the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court on Saturday.

R Santiago Martin and John Kennedy have been named as accused in three out of four cases registered by the CBI. Agents of Bhutan lottery have also been included as accused in the case.

The state government has issued a fresh notification asking the CBI to probe the allegations against VA Arun Kumar, son of opposition leader VS Achuthanandan regarding the lottery. They have also been asked to investigate the alleged payment of Rs 2 crore by Santiago Martin to the Deshabhimani daily.
