Alappuzha, Wednesday 03 February 2010: A team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which took over the probe into the murder of businessman Paul Muthoot George from the State police, on Tuesday took custody of the documents including the charge sheet and evidence that were submitted to the Ramankary Judicial First Class Magistrate Court by the State police.

The three-member CBI team, submitted an application to magistrate Subitha Chirakkal seeking release of the documents and the evidence. The team returned to Kochi around 2.30 p.m., taking along with it a huge box and 25 other smaller cartons, which were released by the court.
