Kochi, Tuesday, 18 May 2010: A central team arrived here on Monday night to evaluate the loss that had occurred to the state due to drought. Revenue Minister K.P Rajendran who held discussion with the team last night had urged them to take into consideration the loss due to other calamities too.

The Minister had also informed the team that there have been huge losses in the agricultural sector due to unexpected rain and storm. Also Rajendran pointed out the damages reported from Idukki. due to heavy snowfall.

The seven-member team after dividing themselves into three groups would visit different places in the State to analyse the situation, from today. They would hold a meeting with various government representatives at Thiruvanantahpuram on 20th of this month.
