Kannur, Sunday 04 April 2010: CPM Politburo member and Kisan Sabha National (KSN) president S Ramachandran Pillai today alleged the Centre had failed to protect ‘Adivasis’ and poor people.

The Centre was exploiting ‘Adivasis’ and poor people, he charged and added the Centre had provided more concessions to business Corporates.

The ‘Adivasis’ were being deprived of housing and land, he said. For the last 20 years, the Centre was following a new liberalisation policy. This resulted in many hardships, SRP said.
