Kannur, Wednesday 12 January 2011: Opposition leader Oommen Chandy today said that the move of the UDF Government in 2005 to withdraw the palmolein case against former chief minister K Karunakaran will later prove correct.
Opposition leader reiterated the decision to drop proceedings on Palmolien case was taken in good spirits.
Chandy who reached Kannur as part of his Kerala Mochana Yatra told reporters that a decision to withdraw the case was taken after considering all state of affairs. He also said that corruption had gripped all sectors during the LDF rule.
Chandy said the LDF government had reversed the State’s developmental potential. The LDF government had lost the trust of the people, he said adding that the Ministers also lost trust in each other.
