Chandy to launch ‘Kerala Mochana Yatra’ tomorrow  

Kasaragod, Sunday 9 January 2011: The ‘Kerala Mochana Yatra’ led by Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy as part of the UDF’s campaign against the “misrule of the LDF government” will start from Uppala in Kasaragod district tomorrow.

In a press release, organising committee convener of the campaign M.M. Hassan said the members of the Yatra would be given public reception along their journey to Neyyattinkara in Thiruvananthapuram. The Yatra will reach Neyyattinkara on February 4.

Leaders of the UDF will meet the Governor at Raj Bhavan on February 5 and submit to him a memorandum signed by 10 million people listing the charges against the LDF government. A public meeting will be held in Thiruvananthapuram on February 5, the press release said.

The yatra will pass through all the 140 Assembly constituencies in the State. Union Ministers A.K. Antony, Vayalar Ravi, E. Ahamed, Mullappally Ramachandran and K.V. Thomas, in addition to national leaders of the Congress, will join the ‘yatra’ and address public meetings.
