Kochi, Saturday 20 March 2010: Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy said that the LDF government’s reported decision not to appoint Amitabh Bachchan as Kerala Tourism’s brand ambassador was tantamount to “insulting” the actor.

Chandy told media persons that it was improper on the part of the government to have said ‘no’ to Bachchan after first having invited him to be the ambassador. “It is a case of insulting a respected person after inviting him,” he said.
