Kasaragod, Monday, November 23, 2009: Vowing to fight against the state government until the government orders a probe by removing SP Ramdas Pothan, United Democratic Front leader Oommen Chandy said, the Kasaragod violence is a joint act of CPM and police.

Oommen Chandy said, it was not police firing to avert violence but a blunt act aimed at killing, the opposition would not concede to an investigation without removing Superintendent of Police K. Ramdas Pothen.

Oommen Chandy was speaking to media persons before starting off the tour to the trouble hit areas.

A high level team comprising top UDF brass is touring the trouble hit areas of Kasaragod today the team would visit the places and the homes of victims who lost their lives during the clashes that took place between Muslim League activists and police on 15 November.
