New Delhi, Thursday 10 December 2009: Chief Justice of India K.G. Balakrishnan was stable and under observation in a city hospital here, a hospital official said on Thursday, a day after he had been admitted with a stomach ailment.
He was admitted to the Apollo Hospital on Wednesday with diarrhoea and vomiting.
Balakrishnan, 64, is the 37th chief justice of India.
