New Delhi, Saturday 21 November 2009: In the midst of David Coleman Headley terror probe, CIA director Leon E Panetta on Saturday arrived in New Delhi on a three-day visit.
The agenda of Panetta’s visit includes discussions with top security experts on issues ranging from cooperation on terror, sharing of intelligence and other issues of mutual interests.
The top American intelligence officer is also likely to discuss the probe carried out by the US and Indian investigators on Headley and his Canadian associate Tahawwur Hussain Rana, arrested by FBI for suspected links with LeT and plotting terror attacks in India.
The CIA boss flew to New Delhi from Islamabad where he met Pakistan’s top civil and military leaders to discuss the war against terror and sharing of information between Washington and Islamabad to boost the campaign against militants operating along the Afghanistan border.
