CM downplays Pinarayi’s caustic remarks   CM

Thiruvananthapuram, Wednesday, 19 May 2010: Chief Minister V.S Achuthanandan rubbished charges that he is not protecting his co-ministers in the cabinet. Affirming the statement baseless, VS said that these were merely media reports and he wouldn’t take it serious. He was briefing the reporters after the weekly cabinet meet.

When the reporters pointed these were remarks made by CPM , the CM reiterated his previous reply. Pinarayi while speaking in the Nayanar memorial conference on the 6th death anniversary of the former CM. E K Nayanar at Kannur this morning, he had stated that Nayanar had always protected his cabinet colleagues and had won the admiration of all and that he was a role model for all Communists to follow.

CPM said inthat the party campaigners and leaders must follow the paths of Former Chief Minister EK Nayanar.

Nayanar gave hard responds to the queries of media persons who asked the same with political motives. All the leaders should make him a model in this substance.

Pinarayi said that as a Chief Minister he was a perfect leader and protector of the Communist party. The attack against Nayanar and party is still continuing.

Pinarayi was speaking in the Nayanar memorial conference on the 6th death anniversary of Nayanar here on Wednesday.
