CM leaves Suresh Kumar high and dry  

Thiruvananthapuram, Wednesday, December 10, 2008: In a surprise move, Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan today informed assembly that the controversial statements made by K Suresh Kumar against his office was baseless and far from truth. “Suresh Kumar was never Additional Secretary to Chief Minister, instead he was Additional Secretary to Chief Minister’s Personal Secretary Chief Minister added.

Chief Minister was replying the adjournment motion brought by Opposition.

The Left government had yesterday seeked an explanation from Suresh Kumar IAS, who led the demolition of encroachments in Munnar, for his comments about the Chief Minister’s office.


The CM’s office has asked the chief secretary to get a response from Suresh Kumar who had hit out at the personal staff of chief minister V S Achuthanandan, including his private secretary S Rajendran, saying it was not the CM’s interest that was foremost in their minds.

Dewasom minister G Sudhakaran had also sought action against the IAS officer for what he termed was breach of service rules.
