CM leaving for Delhi today to meet High Command  

Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday 19 May 2011: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will be leaving for New Delhi today to hold discussions with the party high command to finalise the Congress ministers. Chandy will be in Delhi without Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala.

Oommen Chandy will meet today and AICC president Sonia Gandhi tomorrow. Chandy is expected to return here tomorrow evening.

The purpose of the visit is to finalise the Congress nominees in the UDF Government. Chandy will hold discussions with Union Defence Minister A K Antony and Union Civil Aviation Minister Vayalar Ravi today before meeting the AICC president the next day.

Sources said that probable list include Aryadan Mohammed, K C Joseph, K Babu, N Sakthan, Thiruvanchur Radhakrishnan, P C Vishnunath, A P Anilkumar, C N Balakrishnan or Therambil Ramakrishan, and G Karthikeyan or K Muraleedharan.

However, the list will change if the high command insists on including a woman candidate in the list. The inclusion of K Muraleedharan will also depend on the high command’s clearance.
