Confession before Magistrate was not voluntary: Kasab

kasab

Mumbai, Tuesday 22 December 2009: Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist of 26/11 , today told the court that police forced him to confess before the magistrate in February this year.

Kasab — whose statement is being recorded by the special court — alleged that the crime branch had threatened to give him electric shocks if he did not confess before the magistrate, therefore he gave the confession.

Also, he said, “I did not tell the police anything about Kuber boat and the dead body found on the boat.” The terrorists had highjacked Kuber on their way to Mumbai.

“I have never seen Kuber boat; crime branch and FBI had showed me pictures of Kuber and my clothes and articles seized from the boat. These articles must belong to either fishermen or smugglers. The AK 47 rifle may belong to the police and it is not mine.
