Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday 2 July 2009: worms and parasites were found in a bottle of branded baby food bought by a family in Pappanamcode near Thiruvananthapuram today, a report said. According to reports the baby food, a product of an international brand was purchased from a margin free shop in Pappamancode. According to parents, the child exhibited symptoms of food poisoning and was immedietly admitted to nearby hospital. The family told ACV News that they were planning to approach the Health Department for an investigation in to this issue.

The child’s father pointed out that the baby food packet was manufactured in May 2009 and was well with in usable period.
