Court defers hearing on Maudani’s bail plea to Aug 30  

Bangalore, Friday, August 27, 2010: The Bangalore Fast Track Sessions Court today deferred the hearing of the anticipatory bail plea of PDP Chairman Abdul Nazar Maudani to August 31st. The Court has also sent notice to the Prosecution to inform their stance regarding the bail plea.

Fast track Sessions Court Judge, Sreekanth Vadavatty would consider Maudani’s anticipatory bail plea in the Bangalore serial blast case. Maudani has informed in the plea that the case registered against him by the Bangalore police was totally fabricated and that he was innocent in the serial blast case. The Bangalore Metropolitan Magistrate Court had sent Abdul Nazar Maudani, the 31st accused in the Bangalore serial blast case, to judicial custody till September 7th. Maudani was produced before the Court at 5.15 pm yesterday.

The Court had also instructed the Karanataka police to provide proper medical aid for Maudani. Maudani was produced before the Court since his nine-day long remand period would expire today.
