Chandrappan replaces Veliyam as CPI State secretary  

Thiruvananthapuram, Sunday, November 14, 2010: The CPI State secretary Veliyam Bhargavan has quit from his post. CK Chandrappan has been appointed as the new CPI State Secretary. The decision was taken in the CPI state council meeting held here today.

It is reported that Veliyam Bharghavan has requested to the executive and state council to relieve him from the post due to health related reasons. The executive and state council approved Veliyam’s demand and appointed CK Chandrappan as the new CPI State secretary.

Chandrappan was currently the National Secretariat member. THe A B Bardhan said that the decision was taken unanimously.
