Palakkad, Wednesday, June 02, 2010: Union Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi told that the CPI (M) of indulging in malicious propaganda against their political rivals.
“The CPI (M) leaders are indulging in the same old Communist strategy of character assassination to deal with their rivals instead of following fair political principles,” he said after presenting P Balan memorial award to Socialist Janata Democratic (SJD) leader M P Veerendrakumar here. He alleged that CPI (M) in Kerala had institutionalized corruption by amassing wealth for the party.
Speaking on the occasion, Veerendrakumar said CPI-M did not believe in democratic principles as it was evident from the way his party was ousted from the LDF on the eve of the last Lok Sabha polls. The award was instituted in memory of Congress leader and MLA, late P Balan.
Veerendrakumar was chosen for the honour in recognition of his contributions to literature, culture and media.
