CPM decides to bundle CM’s confidants  

Thiruvananthapuram, Tuesday, December 30, 2008: The CPM State Committee has decided to agree to the ’s demand to remove Chief Minister’s IT advisor Joseph C Mathew, Senior Government pleader Anil kumar, and BR Menon. All of them who had given legal backing to the CM during the eviction of encroachments at Munnar.

At the same time the State Committee has turned down ’s request to remove his Private Secretary S Rajendran, who has openly made statements against the administrative inadequacies of .

Two weeks back Sureshkumar, former additional secretary to who had led the eviction of encroachments at Munnar hill station last year was suspended from his job for his unwarranted outburst that Chief Minister’s private secretary S Rajendran had buried sensitive files pertaining to Kiliroor sex scandal, in which CPM leaders and their wards had been in allegedly involved.

The rival faction of Pinarayi Vijayan had targeted all the as the remaining members of the ‘coterie’, working as a lifeline for the CM.
