Kasargod, Tuesday, April 05, 2011: Opposition leader Oommen Chandy urged Pinarayi Vijayan to disclose what was discussed with the Jamaat – E- Islami leaders.

“The LDF and CPI (M) are trying to have patch up with all sorts of forces, fearing a backlash by the voters of Kerala. Pinarayi Vijayan should clarify, if he still stick to his stand that Jamat is a terrorist organization”, Chandy said.

He stated that UDF has never tried to work out any pact with Jamaat- E-Islami. “Jamaat – E – Islami is an organization even the Muslim organizations have kept out. We have never tried to join hands with them. MI Shanavas had talked with Jamaat leaders on his own basis. Neither Congress nor UDF has entrusted him for conducting talks with the Jamaat”.
